The Eltham Redbacks are delighted to confirm that Alan Kearney is back on board for season 2026!
Kearney will continue to wield the dual responsibility of leading our Under 23s, and assisting Alan Mulcahy in the senior dugout.
Under Kearney’s stewardship, the U23s finished 2nd last season, just three points behind eventual winners, Box Hill United.
The program continues to produce home-grown senior footballers, with five U23 players making their VPL2 debut in a promotion-winning campaign.
Kearney also works closely with our U19s side, who lifted the league title in 2025, scoring 74 goals in just 26 games along the way.
The former Ireland youth international and Everton junior has made a huge impact in his time at the club, helping develop and run our Elite Development Centre alongside Junior Technical Director Sam Coupland.
With our Under-23 side finalised for Season 2026, we are looking forward to seeing Kearney and his team push for new heights in the new season.
