It took four minutes for the Redbacks to take the lead. Isobel Berks found the net early, and Kristina Dimitrovski doubled the advantage just three minutes later. 2-0 after seven minutes. The tone was set.
Berks struck again in the 40th minute to make it 3-0 at the break, and Julia Mamone added a fourth in the 79th minute to complete the scoring.
Melbourne Uni sit 12th after two rounds without a point or a goal to their name. This was always going to be a tough ask at The Web.
The Redbacks sit third on the ladder. Played two, one win, one draw, four points, and a goal difference of plus four already ticking over. A draw in Round 1 followed by a four-nil win is a solid start to the season.
