Over the last fortnight, our clubrooms have been buzzing with a different sort of energy. The team from B.Human Movement has delivered a series of tailored workshops to every performance squad in the club: Senior Men, under 23s, 19s, Senior Women, Reserve Women, community youth teams for boys and girls, JBNPL and JGNPL players.

Founded by directors Aesha Mukerji and Joseph “Zuzu” Haddad, B.Human Movement is an Australian initiative that helps people “transform lives by building leaders and strong teams through resilience and decisive action.”

Their mission is to empower individuals and teams to take radical responsibility, build deep connections and foster authentic relationships.

What the programme covers

B.Human’s sessions blend breath-work, trauma-informed coaching, mindfulness training and NLP techniques, giving athletes practical tools to regulate stress and communicate under pressure.
Key themes explored with our players included:

  • Identity & values – clarifying who they are beyond the match-day shirt.
  • Resilience training – shifting from “survival mode” to thriving under pressure by strengthening the nervous system.
  • Team connection – small-group challenges that mirror on-field problem-solving and reinforce accountability.

Why it matters for the Redbacks

  1. Shared language across the pathway – from seniors to U13s, every squad now understands concepts like radical responsibility and conscious leadership.
  2. Holistic player development – technical skills remain vital, but mental and emotional literacy is becoming a true competitive edge.
  3. Stronger culture – players learned more about themselves and each other, deepening respect that inevitably translates into tighter on-field cohesion.

Next steps

Our coaches are already weaving B.Human practices into warm-ups, recovery blocks and leadership discussions. We’re also exploring follow-up workshops later in the season to keep the momentum rolling.

A huge thank you to Aesha, Joseph, and everyone at B.Human Movement for investing their passion and expertise in our club. The impact is clear in the way our players carry themselves each day – and we’re excited to see that growth shine through when the whistle blows.
