The Redbacks are delighted to welcome goalkeeper Tiana Orfanidis to the Eltham Redbacks for the 2026 VPLW season!
Tiana joins us from NPLW side Brunswick Juventus, after six years in the junior ranks at FC Bulleen Lions.
After serving as a deputy last season, Orfanidis is eager to get game time under her belt at senior level.
“I’d heard a lot of good things about JB [head coach Jonathan Barrientos].
“I just kind of knew that from his training sessions and certain aspects of his ideology, it just really hit it off for me to come here.
“The girls at Eltham have been really welcoming, and when you have a good community and a good culture, you can’t really beat that.”
Equally adept as a shot-stopper or with the ball at her feet, Orfanidis prides herself on making clutch one-on-one saves.
“You can’t really beat those moments with a 1v1, really.
“Those sort of last minute saves and things like that really gets you going, so it’s a good buzz.”
Orfanidis joins Izzy Berks, Ally Giovino, Stephanie Katiforis, Taylor Halabi, Aleena Gutzsmit, Aimie Adcock, Claudia Dimasi and Alessia Napolitano among the new arrivals at The Web this season.
