Eltham Redbacks FC is pleased to confirm that versatile and experienced defender Jack Butts has re-committed for the 2026 VPL1 season.
Since arriving from Eastern Lions in 2025, Jack instantly established himself in Alan Mulcahy’s side, starting 21 league games in the club’s promotion-winning campaign.
His reading of the game, competitive edge in the tackle and adaptability across multiple positions ensured continuity and stability in a defensive unit that shipped just 31 goals last season – by far the sturdiest in the division.
A product of the Birmingham City youth system, Jack’s prior experience in VPL1 will be crucial as the club challenges itself yet again to compete at a higher level.
