The Eltham Redbacks are thrilled to welcome versatile and experienced wide player Taylor Halabi to our VPLW side for the 2026 campaign.
A key member of the Preston Lions side who were promoted as VPLW Champions in 2022, Halabi is a tireless worker and fierce competitor who leads by example.
After spending the last two seasons with Bundoora United, her strong relationship with head coach Jonathan Barrientos meant signing for the Redbacks was a no-brainer.
“Basically, JB just said, ‘we’re moving here’, and that was that,” she laughs.
“He ran through what his goals are for this season and what he wants to achieve – he sold me from the get-go.”
Halabi is particularly looking forward to the atmosphere of playing under the Friday night lights at Eltham North Reserve.
“I’m always one for Friday night games – so that’s a big win for me, a big tick.
“I can’t wait for the first Friday night game here.”
Halabi joins Aleena Gutzsmit, Aimie Adcock, Claudia Dimasi and Alessia Napolitano among the new arrivals at The Web this season.
