Our History
Eltham Redbacks FC is one of Victoria’s largest football clubs, proudly based in Eltham North on Wattletree Road. With more than 1,000 players aged 3 to 45+, we offer programs for all skill levels and run the region’s largest female football program.
Founded in 1967, the club has grown from humble beginnings at Eltham Lower Park to become a leading community club in Nillumbik. A rebrand in 2009 aligned us with modern football standards and supported major upgrades to our facilities, coaching staff, and player resources.
Today, our teams compete across every level of the game, with recent highlights including multiple senior promotions and strong junior success. Backed by over 30 accredited coaches and a curriculum aligned with Football Australia, we remain committed to player development, inclusivity, and community.
